Indie Games Poland Foundation Returns to PAX West for Its 10th Anniversary Showcase

The Indie Games Poland Foundation is celebrating its 10th appearance at PAX West in Seattle, the largest video game trade show in the United States — and one of the biggest in the world.

This year’s booth features 14 diverse independent games developed in Poland, including several titles published by Polish companies. Visitors will have the chance to meet the creators, learn about their development process, and experience unique games across a wide range of genres.

Whether you’re a dedicated gamer or simply curious about Poland’s thriving creative industry, stop by booth 925 to say hello and show your support.

Be sure not to miss the special presentation by Ryszard Chojnowski on Sunday at 4:00 PM, where he will take the audience on a remarkable journey back to the early days of the Polish video game industry — a time when it was beginning to emerge behind the Iron Curtain.

Ryszard Chojnowski is a Polish video game industry veteran and podcaster with 30 years of experience spanning, localization, game design, and project management. A firsthand witness to the emergence of gaming culture in late communist Poland, he offers a unique perspective on how Western pop culture shaped an entire generation of Polish developers and players. He served as project lead on The Witcher at CD Projekt Red and has contributed translations to major BioWare RPGs and almost the entire Blizzard catalogue. He currently oversees the full multilingual localization of Witchfire by The Astronauts.
