The 18th Avenue Theater presents the play in Polish “Przygody pchły szachrajki” based on a classic poem for kids by Jan Brzechwa and directed by Anna Kułakowska. The Young Polanie / Młodzi Polanie folk dance group is starting its activities again and is looking for children aged 6 to 10 who would like to join. Mlodzi Polanie perform traditional Polish folk dances and have a collection of Polish folk costumes that go with it. The Polish Theatre group is starting its first project in Polish and looks for children, youths and grown ups who would like to help with it. If you would like to get involved, come to the first meeting of the season on September 17, 2021. Barbara and Marian Strutynski have just retired from an active involvement at the Polish Home after being pillars of the Polish community for over five decades. Barbara started the children folk dance group Young Polanie / Młodzi Polanie in the 1960s and that in due course spawned a children theater group called Teatrzyk Biedronka (Ladybug Theatre).
