It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Adam Kubicki. Adam was a resident of Shoreline, Washington who passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025. He was only 45 years of age. Although cut short his time with us will be remembered.
Services for Adam will be handled by Sunset Hills Funeral Home, 1215 145th PL SE May 2nd at 1pm.
Long time Polish community member, Grazyna Kapa, passed away peacefully after a yearlong battle with cancer on December 31, 2024. We invite you to join us in a celebration of her life! Long time Polish community member, Cristina Koczarski passed away on February 8, 2024. Her late husband, Roy “Wojtek” Koczarski, died during COVID restrictions in April 2021. There will be a funeral mass for Cristina at the St. Madeleine Sophie Church in Bellevue. Following the mass, there will be the burial ceremony for both Cristina and Wojtek and then immediately after the funeral, the family invites everybody to the reception and memorial for both of them at
Polish-born Holocaust survivor Bronka Sundstrom, a very well-known hiking guide and a folk hero at Mount Rainier National Park, died on November 29, 2023, from congestive heart failure. She was 98. Born Bronka Czyżyk in 1925 in Sandomierz, Poland, she was deported first to Auschwitz, where all her family had died. CLose to death, Sundstrom was liberated at the concentration camp of Bergen-Belsen and was evacuated to Sweden. There she met her husband architect Ake

On behalf of the Seattle Polish Foundation and the Polish Home Association I would like to express our deepest gratitude to all people whose generosity made it possible. The grand piano in the picture will be coming to the Polish Hall real soon now! The Seattle Polish Foundation entered into a purchase agreement with a private seller for a 2008 concert-class Steinway grand piano in an excellent condition for the Polish Cultural Center Dom Polski. The grand piano campaign raised about $59,000 as of 12/22/22, and the purchase price is $60,000. With the transport and other costs, we need about $2,500 to close
