At the annual meeting of the Polish Home Association held on January 29, 2023, Lidia Jasklowska has been elected as the PHA President and Erik Lidzbarski as the Senior Vice-President. The Ka’au Crater-did you know there is a crater above Honolulu? Neither did I! The incredible jungle hike, stream and waterfalls are just the prelude to the vistas above the crater. The grand piano in memory of Barbara Strutynski has been purchased! The winter quarter at the University of Washington brings again courses that can draw people interested in Polish language and culture. Frank David Wilson, longtime member of the PHA died on November 24, 2022, at his home in Seaview, WA, after a long struggle with brain cancer. He was 72. The grand piano in the picture will be coming to the Polish Hall real soon now! The Seattle Polish Foundation entered into a purchase agreement with a private seller for a 2008 concert-class Steinway grand piano in an excellent condition for the Polish Cultural Center Dom Polski. The grand piano campaign raised about $59,000 as of 12/22/22, and the purchase price is $60,000. With the transport and other costs, we need about $2,500 to close

Andre Mroz fell ill early November and ended up in the ICU fighting for his life. Andre lost his fight on November 19,2022. Andrzej Mroz, the former Solidarity leader, local community activist and one of the most recognizable members of the Polish community died on November 19, 2022, due to complications after a cardiac arrest.
