Celeste Caliri — a member of our Polish community and longtime volunteer with the Seattle Polish Film Festival — would love to introduce Pilates, a great fitness routine and way to rehab injuries, to our Seattle Polish community. With over 20 years of experience, Celeste specializes in rehabbing and quivery muscle work, without it feeling like daunting physical therapy drills. Celeste works a muscle in a very unassuming way, taking a practice that can be
Seattle Polish News sends warm wishes for a wonderful Easter.
As in previous years, the 2026 GiveBIG fundraiser is happening this May. The Seattle Polish Foundation invites you to support its Cultural Fund. Your donation not only helps preserve our traditions but also keeps them accessible to all.

If you haven’t met Roman Rogalski, one of the most active and generous members of our community, stop by the Polish Home on Friday to say hello—he’ll be there. You’ve probably noticed the run-down house next to the Polish Home.
Here’s the story of Roman and the Chata.
On January 14, 2026 the Washington State Senate, in a state resolution 8662, honored and commended Roman Rogalski for his service and dedication to the Polish community in Seattle. Also on January 14, Steve Hobbs, the secretary of state, presented to Roman a certificate of appreciation in recognition and appreciation for his decades of outstanding service as a dedicated volunteer to the Polish Home Association, providing good counsel, mentorship and reliable service as Treasurer with
Dear Members of the Polish Community,
The Seattle Polish Foundation is here for you—in good times and especially in difficult ones. If you or someone you know has been affected by the recent floods or windstorms, please reach out to us. SPF is ready to offer support.
If you have not been directly impacted but would like to help, we welcome your involvement. You can contact us to volunteer, or make a donation to SPF with a note specifying flood relief. Every contribution makes a difference.
Together, we can ensure that no one faces these challenges alone.
Warmest wishes for a joyful Holiday Season from all of us at the SPN team!
This Giving Tuesday, over $3,500 was donated—an incredible achievement! Congratulations and thank you for your generosity. You can still support Polish community cultural events by visiting the Seattle Polish Foundation website or contributing directly to the Giving Tuesday fundraiser. The PHA elections will be held on January 25, 2026. Anyone interested in running for an Officer or Trustee position must submit their written candidacy by December 15, 2025
This is the season to reflect on all the things we’re grateful for and to think about how we can help others. One of the best ways to make a difference is by participating in the Seattle Polish Foundation fundraisers. The next event, Giving Tuesday, takes place on December 2, and this year we’ll be raising funds for Polish cultural events in Seattle. If you remember Janusz Olejniczak’s concert years ago, you’ll agree that an event of such caliber is long overdue. With your support, it could happen again soon.
Polish Home is excited to welcome Monika Szczepański as the new Dom Polski Manager, joined by her husband Michał! This will be a transition period as we all get to know each other. PHA kindly asks for patience and support while Monika settles into her role, as there may be some changes to help improve Dom Polski. One small favor: please let Monika know ahead of time if you’re planning to visit, so she’ll recognize

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. Join the movement and give, whether it’s some of your time, a donation, or the power of your voice in your local community.
The Polish Home Association is happy to announce the opening of an Art Gallery in the Polish Cultural Center. We are creating a forum for artists associated with the Polish community to present their art and to popularize and promote art in our community.
It’s been an exciting election season with contests in both Poland and Seattle. But it’s not over yet—the Polish Home Association election is coming up in December, making this the perfect time to renew your membership or join. Every vote matters, and your voice deserves to be heard.
Most of us recall the iconic Apple Macintosh advertisement from the 1984 Super Bowl. It left a lasting impression at the time and continues to resonate today. Given the current state of affairs, it is difficult not to reflect on Orwell’s predictions in “Animal Farm” and “1984.” George Orwell’s 1984 is a dystopian novel set in a totalitarian society ruled by the omnipresent and omnipotent Party, led by the mysterious figurehead Big Brother. The story
