Dr. Agnieszka Jeżyk, Professor of Polish Studies at the University of Toronto, has recently obtained the position of the Maria Kott Endowed Professor of Polish Studies at the UW Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures. She will start in Seattle in the 2023/24 academic year. She has won the position in a competition with about 30 candidates and was among four finalist who had public lectures and extensive interviews at the Slavic Department in February

The grand piano campaign raised about $59,000 as of 12/22/22, and the purchase price is $60,000. With the transport and other costs, we need about $2,500 to close
