Solar Lottery is a 1955 science fiction novel by American writer Philip K. Dick. It was his first published novel and contains many of the themes present in his later work. Through June 2025, the Art Gallery in the Polish Cultural Center presents the art of Adam Dopierala.
You can view the PHA Gallery most Friday evenings when the restaurant is open and at other PHA events. The works of the presented artists are available for viewing in our gallery and can also be purchased directly from the artist. Purchasing artwork is a significant recognition for the artist and additionally sponsors PHA.
Polish Festival Seattle returns to its usual venue at the Seattle Center Armory and the Mural Amphitheater this year. The Seattle Polish News has finally a new editor-in-chief. Bohdan Raciborski volunteered to run our news service in 2025. He replaces Ryszard Kott, who created the Polish News Seattle in 2002 as an independent news service and has served as the publisher and the editor-in-chief ever since. KINO OKO presents a short documentary “Lady of the Mountain / Kobieta Skała” in memory of Bronka Sandstrom who at the age of 77 summited a Mt. Rainier as oldest women who made this achievement. The documentary was produced by Monika Meleń from Polish TVP Polonia in 2018. Another short documentary movie will also present Bronka’s experiences from summiting the Mt. Rainier. Ho, ho ho!!!! Christmas is right around the corner and it’s time to celebrate! Polish Home Association and the Polish School in Bellevue invites all children and their parents to the annual Christmas party for kids – Mikołajki. This is a community-wide event, and all children are invited, regardless of whether they speak Polish or English. In Poland, Andrzejki used to be the last party of the season, on the St. Andrew’s Eve, and its traditions include fortune telling with wax poured on water.
