UPDATE: On Sunday, March 2nd at 4 p.m., the Polish Cultural Center is hosting a screening of Erase the Nation, a documentary film about the war in Ukraine. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the director Tomasz Grzywaczewski. The event is organized by the Seattle Polish Film Festival, Seattle Gdynia Sister City Association, and Ukrainian Association of Washington. It is a fundraiser to support Ukraine. The Polish Home Association is happy to announce the opening of an Art Gallery in the Polish Cultural Center. We are creating a forum for artists associated with the Polish community to present their art and to popularize and promote art in our community.
The book to discuss is Tajemnica Domu Helclów by Maryla Szymiczkowa published by Znak in 2018. Maryla Szymiczkowa is the pen name of Jacek Dehnel and Piotr Tarczyński. The Fountainhead Gallery presents two painters in September: Kaz Poznanski and Bergen Rose; the exhibition includes six oil paintings by Kazimierz Poznanski, from his Flowers of Color abstract realism series.
