Polish Festival at Seattle Center

Polish Festival Seattle returns to its usual venue at the Seattle Center Armory and the Mural Amphitheater this year. The festival will open with a parade from the Mural Amphitheatre to the Armory Food & Event Hall at 12 p.m. There will be the usual attractions – folk group performances, a Chopin concert, exhibitions, movies, workshops, Polish food and a beer garden as well as booths with arts and craft vendors and different organizations. This most beloved and savored event at the Polish Cultural Center is back to its usual slot on the second Saturday in May. The program and menu are now similar to before the pandemic. Several kinds of pierogi (meat, potato-and-cheese, sweet cheese, blueberry and sauerkraut w/ mushroom) will be available as well as Polish kielbasa and Polish beers. Polish Spring Bazaar

This is the annual one-day Polish Bazaar that falls on the Saturday before Palm Sunday. It’s on April Fool’s Day this year, but it’s for real! The bazaar features the usual: booths with amber and jewelry, arts and crafts, Polish crystals and Boleslawiec pottery as well as booths by local Polish organizations. Culinary Workshop Polish Christmas Edition

The Culinary Workshops group presents a Christmas edition of their popular hands-on cooking sessions.  This one will have a Wigilia (Polish Christmas Eve) ambiance as all the demos are related to Christmas. The dishes covered in this session include: mushroom soup (zupa grzybowa), pasta with cabbage and mushrooms (łazanki z kapustą i grzybami), pickling borscht and sauerkraut (kiszenie barszczu i kapusty), decorating pastries and making Christmas tree decorations.
