This is the main summer picnic for the Polish community of Seattle. It’s organized by the Polish Home Association, the biggest Polish organization around, but everybody is encourage to come, whether they are PHA member or not. The Polish Cultural Institute New York and the Film at the Lincoln Center present a virtual retrospective of movies directed by Andrzej Munk (1921-1961). Munk, with his incisive mind and wry humor has created a cannon of feature movies that were as important to Polish Film School movement of the late 1950s as Adrzej Wajda’s. The Fr. Twardowski Polish School in Bellevue accepts new students for the 2021/2022 academic year for classes 1 to 8. Swing It Seattle is offering in-person group swing dance classes starting August 1st. Beginners welcome! All group classes and events are held at the Polish Cultural Center on Capitol Hill.
