Polish Cultural Center invites you to an enchanting recital concert paying homage to the famous singer Anna Jantar whose life was cut short tragically in 1980 at the age of 30. Before her death she was one of the most popular Polish singers, with multiple golden disks and song-of-the-year awards.
The recital features the talented duo Paulina Grochowska-Stekla and Wojciech Stekla. Artists who are married both in life and in music bring a unique blend of creativity that promises an unforgettable musical experience. Join us for this special tribute to Anna Jantar as Paulina and Wojciech pay homage to the iconic artist. The concert promises to be a celebration of Anna Jantar’s timeless music, skillfully interpreted by this dynamic duo.
Paulina Grochowska-Stekla is a vocalist, musical and dubbing actress, as well as a vocal coach. She graduated from S. Moniuszko State Vocal and Acting School in Gdynia and the Academy of Music in Gdańsk. She won the 52nd Student Song Festival in Kraków. Paulina performed at theatrical festivals in Georgia, the Netherlands, and Lithuania and is currently touring as a soloist in Film Music Concerts with the Opole and Podlasie Philharmonics.
Wojciech Stekla is a musician, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and a music producer. His productions can be heard on TVP1, TVN, Polsat, Canal+, Planete, RMF FM, ESKA, Radio Złote Przeboje. Wojciech collaborated with artists from The Voice of Poland, The Voice Kids, Dżem, Feel, Edyta Górniak, and more. He composed the song “Never Hide,” a top-ten finalist in the Polish Eurovision preselections in 2023.
Tickets are $25 for general admission, $15 for PHA members and $10 for studens. Tickets are available on Eventbrite or at the door.
