City Mayors from Poland at the Polish Cultural Center

City Mayors from Poland at the Polish Cultural Center

Mayors from several smaller cities in Poland will be at an open meeting at the Polish Cultural Center in Seattle.

This is a unique opportunity to spend time with leaders who have traveled to our area and perhaps meet people from your hometown back in Poland. The event will feature a buffet style meal, short presentation, and opportunities to mingle with the guests.

The guests include mayors of Krapkowice, Morawica, Sandomierz and  Zabierzów, council members from Opatów, Skarżysko Kamienna and Zielonki as well a deputy marshal for the Opole province. In addition, a mayor from a Bratislava suburb in Slovakia and another guest from Vinnyitsa in Ukraine will be present.

This International Leaders Tour has been organized by the Washington City Management Association. Local leaders from Washington are hosting and creating opportunities for the delegation to learn and explore our state cities.  The tour builds on the sister city connection between Camas and Krapkowice, Morawica and Zabierzow, and also between Washougal and Zielonki; as well as on a relationship between the Foundation for the Support of Local Democracy and the city administrators’ Forum of Sekretarze in Poland.
