The Seattle Symphony presents Hilary Hahn in the Brahms’ epic Violin Concerto. The program includes the Concerto for Orchestra by the Polish composer Witold Lutosławski and the Tragic Overture by Brahms. Lutosławski is praised for using “folk melodies to intriguing effect in his Concerto for Orchestra, making instrumental colors the engine of a virtuosic vehicle for the entire ensemble.”
