Passing the Torch at the Seattle Polish News

The Seattle Polish News has finally a new editor-in-chief. Bohdan Raciborski volunteered to run our news service in 2025. He replaces Ryszard Kott, who created the Polish News Seattle in 2002 as an independent news service and has served as the publisher and the editor-in-chief ever since. The service has four other editors currently, namely Anna Kamińska, Anna Raciborska, Nandhini Sundaresan and Anna Kułakowska. Ryszard stays as the SPN publisher for now.

Bohdan knows our news service intimately. In 2020, he created the current Seattle Polish News website that he co-designed with Ryszard. Since then, he has provided technical support for the website and the newsletter sent with MailChimp. He proposed several changes to improve and enrich the service in the future.

Bohdan has been a very active member of the Polish community for a long time and served at many positions over the years, including as the Polish Home Association Senior VP, a Polish American Chamber of Commerce Pacific NW VP, Director at the Seattle Polish Foundation Board of Directors and a Seattle Polish Film Festival committee member and the SPFF webmaster, among others.

Please wish Bohdan successes in taking over the Polish News and remaking it for the future as he discusses a host of new ideas with his fellow editors!

Sincerely

Ryszard Kott
