Farewell to Seattle Polish News

For some time now, Seattle Polish News has been looking for a new editor-in-chief to take over the news service from Ryszard Kott. However, this search has been unsuccessful and so it’s time to say goodbye. Unless somebody steps forward soon, the service will be discontinued starting from beginning of January 2025.

The Seattle Polish News is an independent news service serving Seattle and the Pacific Northwest since 2002. Since the beginning it has been published by Ryszard Kott; he also served as the editor-in-chief for all this time. Several other people have contributed their talents over the years and the technology shifted a few times. I would like to thank all of them, and in particular to Hanna Gil, Bohdan Raciborski, Marcin Kott, Anna Kamińska, Anna Raciborska, Nandhini Sundaresan, and Anna Kulakowska.

Below is our credo.

Our news follows anything Polish anywhere in the city and the region. We cover events at the Polish Cultural Center on Capitol Hill, of course, but also events with Polish themes or Polish artists – such as jazz concerts at the Triple Doors, movies at SIFF, concerts at Benaroya, or lectures at the UW. We strive for our feeds to be relevant to the Polish American community of the Puget Sound region and also to anybody interested in Polish culture and traditions.

We publish news on this website and on Facebook also as a weekly email bulletin.
